EdEHR documentation is publicly accessible and open source, thanks to the Shared Educational Resources and Technology (SERT) initiative -- a BC Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills program that funded EdEHR Compass as a shared resource for the BC post-secondary sector.
BCIT (British Columbia Institute of Technology) led the development of Compass and its sustainability documentation during the SERT project period, working in collaboration with EdEHR Technologies and partner institutions. The result is a shared resource that reduces onboarding and implementation costs across the BC post-secondary sector and beyond.
Compass guides institutions through the full EdEHR adoption journey, from evaluation and procurement through implementation, curriculum integration, and ongoing sustainability.
SERT funds the development, delivery, and sustainability of open and shared educational technologies and curriculum materials across the BC post-secondary system. EdEHR was one of three projects selected for funding in SERT's first year.
Compass is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) and hosted on GitBook. Anyone may read, adapt, and redistribute the content under those terms.
EdEHR pricing is based on an annual fee scaled to your institution's enrolment plans, producing a straightforward institutional cost. This model was developed in direct collaboration with BC post-secondary institutional leadership to reflect how institutions actually budget and procure technology.
