EdEHR updates will be released this Friday evening after 9 PT. These are Tier 1 — minor and additive changes applied automatically with no action required on your part.
This release adds self-paced simulation timing, which lets students move through timed case study stages on their own. It also brings guided tour widgets into the EHR area to help orient new users, and includes general improvements to the demo and sandbox environment.
New & Updates
- Self-Paced Simulation Timing — Students can now advance through timed simulation stages at their own pace. When a simulation is configured with time stages, a compact navigation bar appears so students can step forward through the case on their own schedule. Instructors configure the stages; students control when they move ahead.
- Tour Widgets in the EHR Area — Guided tour prompts now appear inside the EHR screens to help orient students who are new to the system. The tour can be launched from the menu and walks through the key areas of the interface.
- Demo and Sandbox Improvements — The demo (sandbox) site has been updated with a guided tour for the LMS login flow, a refreshed tour menu, and improvements to the layout and responsiveness across the demo screens. These changes only affect the demo site.
- Demonstration Bypass for Live Demos — Educators presenting the EdEHR live can now enter a streamlined mode that bypasses the usual session setup steps, making it easier to run a live demonstration without distractions.
- Compact Simulation Stage Navigation — The simulation stage navigation bar is now more compact and the instructions dialog has been resized to fit its content, reducing visual clutter on smaller screens.
Bug Fixes
- Content Editors Can Delete Audit Rows — A permission issue prevented content editors from removing certain history rows. This is fixed.
- Errors on File Access After Logout — After a user logged out, attempting to access a file could produce an error. The system now handles this gracefully.
