These release notes summarize improvements and fixes across EdEHR v2.22 through v2.27, organized by clinical area and feature type.
Medication Verification
A new Medication Verification screen has been added to the EHR. EHR users can now document a medication verification record for any given Medication Order. The verification table displays a rolling 24-hour status column, making it easy to see which medications have been verified and which are pending. The verification status is easily viewable on the medication order, MAR table and MAR dialog. Medical Laboratory
Several lab screens have been improved for clinical accuracy and usability:
- Chemistry & Urinalysis — The Chemistry form now displays technologist comments in a clearly styled section, with result interpretation subtext separated for readability. Urinalysis layout has been improved for consistency.
- Hematology (CBC) — The Low/Normal/High result indicator has been changed from radio buttons to a dropdown select, making it possible to indicate ‘none’ and be more space-efficient on screen.
- Microbiology — Media and notes fields have been added. Duplicate fields that also appeared on the accession form have been removed to reduce confusion.
- Accession & Lab Orders — Lab test ordering from the accession screen has been improved. Tube label layout and barcode rendering have been corrected.
Transfusion Medicine
The Transfusion screen has been redesigned to better reflect current clinical practice:
- ABO/Rh notes fields added for group-and-screen documentation
- DAT (Direct Antiglobulin Test) Poly field added
- Crossmatch section redesigned with a clearer, more logical layout
