Change Records Feature: Professional EHR Documentation

Change Records

Change Records is a significant improvement for EdEHR and introduces professional documentation correction workflows across the platform. Previously, students could not edit records once they were saved and verified. With Change Records enabled, students can amend existing documentation, with each amendment requiring the student to provide a reason for the change. Every amendment is recorded in an audit log showing who made the change and when, mirroring the professional documentation and accountability standards used in real Electronic Health Record systems. This supports realistic learning scenarios such as correcting documentation errors, updating evolving assessments and care plans, managing medication order status over simulation time, and amending laboratory quality control results, all while preserving a complete and traceable clinical record.
