This Friday evening after 9 PM PT the EdEHR will receive some changes. These changes either fix or add things that won't affect your work nor your student’s work.
This release brings improvements to the medical laboratory screens.

- Custom Accession and Requisition Number Formats — Each school can now configure their own accession and requisition number formats for the medical laboratory screens — for example, ACC-SB-26-139-00003. A new specimen accession table has also been added alongside the existing blood accessioning form.
- Requisition Lookup on Accessioning Forms — When filling in an accessioning form, a new field lets users search for and link an existing requisition. Once selected, the key details from that requisition appear right on the form.
- Contact Link in Footer — A link to contact EdEHR is now shown at the bottom of every page, making it easier to reach support.
- Demo Site Improvements — The EdEHR demo site has been refreshed with a guided tour, a clearer EHR/LIS selector, a new persona grid, and additional LIS case studies. These changes only affect the demo site. We are slowly renaming the demo site to “sandbox” to better reflect what users can do with it.
Bug Fixes
- New Patient Record Was Showing Blank Demographics — When a student created a new patient, the demographic fields appeared empty right after saving. This is fixed.
- Case Study View Was Incorrect When Using Timed Stages — When an instructor applied a timed simulation stage and then viewed the case study in condensed mode, the data was not displaying correctly. This is fixed.
- Urinalysis Microscopic Field Units — The reference range units on the Urinalysis microscopic examination fields were incorrect. WBC, RBC, and Epithelial fields now show per high-power field (/ HPF); Casts fields show per low-power field (/ LPF). The layout of the QC radio buttons has also been corrected.
- Demo Site: Returning Users Were Getting Stuck — When a demo user's session had expired, they could get stranded. The site now handles this gracefully and pre-fills their email so they can pick up where they left off.
