New Features

Mobile Scan App: Launch of the new EdEHR Mobile App for barcode scanning.

EHR Page Schema View: A new faculty-only view of EHR page contents reduced to the essentials. This enables our community to easily explore what EHR/LIS capabilities are in the EdEHR, and to have discussions with each other.
Enhancements to EHR Pages
- **Vitals:**
- Grouped fields for improved clarity.
- Updated Blood Pressure field now includes a source and expanded patient position options.
- Removal of “Peripheral”: The “Peripheral” option has been removed for new records. (Existing case studies will continue to display “Peripheral” in table and read-only views.)
- New Comment Field: Added a dedicated comment field to capture additional notes.
- Lines and Devices:
- Expanded list of device types, now including:
- Airway
- Arterial Lines
- CVAD
- Enteral
- Epidural
- Peripheral IV
- Urinary Catheter
- Note: No changes were made to the Chest Tube tables; these remain unchanged but may be updated in the future.

- **DAR Notes:**
- Add a field called “Focus” to complement Data, Action and Response
- Lab Report (EHR) & Requisitions:
- CRP added to lab reports, ESR added to hematology, and a new immunology report included.
- New fields for “Ordering Physician” and “Copy to Physician” in lab requisitions.
- Consult:
- Revised layout of the consult dialog for improved usability.
- Text Area Display:
- Improved left alignment and word wrapping across EHR tables.
Fixes and Improvements
- Updates from v2.4.25:
- Fixed issues with case study content editing during active assignments.
- Prevented continued editing on submitted assignments by disabling draft report modifications.
- Implemented input validation on the “Clock” tab for SimTiming settings.
- Miscellaneous Bug Fixes and Small Changes:
- Learning Object Default: When setting up a Learning Object without a Case Study, the system now defaults to the “EHR application type” to ensure the EHR navigation menu is populated.
- Instructor Demo Enhancements: Instructors using the “Become a student” feature now benefit from a reset function that fully clears added content, including patients from the “add new patient” feature.
- Activity Page Update: The instructor Activity page now displays the creation date below the activity name to help differentiate activities using the same Learning Object.
- Case Study Creation:
- Streamlined the Create New case study with a Patient Data dialog to quickly capture essential demographics and patient location.
- Class List Download:
- When instructors download the class list evaluations they now see a “Time to Complete” metric. They can optionally download the full class list activity record, in JSON format, that includes all the student’s work.
