With the new integrated “content” tabs we were able to further simplify the UI for faculty when viewing activity, learning objects and case studies.
When SimTiming is active it’s important to communicate this status to faculty. We have improved the callout that indicates that the simulation time is and other key data.
For the sake of the student content creators do not want to leave their case studies with “draft” records. We now show which pages and tables have draft records in case studies. This helps content creators identify exactly which EHR pages and table types need verification before assigning a case study to students.
Case study page has a tab for exploring the patient chart in time sliced format (”condensed view”)

Further support for the EdEHR and ServerX dispenser.
Further refine the new presentation of Activity, Learning Object and Case Study and especially for the case when a user selects a Learning Object from the list or a Case Study from that list.
2026-01-30
Presentation of Activity, Learning Object, and Case Study as a cohesive group with tabs. These three objects have always been working together to provide the educational context but now they are obviously a unit.
Improved the UI flow when faculty are connecting their LMS links to EdEHR content.
2026-01-30
Further support for the EdEHR and ServerX dispenser.
Add primary physician to patient banner
Fix CVAD options, add emesis to fluid balance, add more ventilation options. Change med order status to simple list Active, Hold, Cancelled, Discontinued. Change route use a single selection with all common combinations.
Add Venturi, FiO2 to vitals, and allow for ‘other’ option on oxygen delivery.
SimTiming day and time controls now “paginate”. (You see a small group at any one time rather than have 30+ day buttons take up your entire visible page.)
MAR page has compact layout that can show more than one MAR button in the same time slot. This is only visible when enabled by EdEHR admin.
MAR page is cleaner and easier to use now that only a small set of “Day” selector buttons is visible at a given time.

October 6, 2025
This update improves reliability and usability across EdEHR. Educators will notice smoother file uploads, more stable data saving, and better medication record handling. A new “non-pitting” edema option has been added to cardiovascular assessments.
Sept 29, 2025
This update resolves several critical issues: patient search failing with characters like “\”, the LIS menu missing after creating a patient without a Case Study, occasional errors loading student data, and vitals charting not working on iPhones. These issues affected only a small number of users, and all have now been fixed.
Sept 23, 2025
This release resolved one critical defect that was preventing users from completing medication administration records.
Sept 21, 2025
This release delivers a round of important bug fixes and usability improvements. Users will notice smoother page loading and fewer crashes, including fixes for saving data, patient searching, and order sets. The Allergies page layout was corrected, and patient barcode printing now works properly even in multi-patient scenarios. File lists now clearly show filenames, and a long-standing issue with switching to visit as student has been resolved. Patient bar code page now works for multi-patient situations.
On the feature side, full demo mode is now restricted to the demo server, ensuring a cleaner experience, and EHR forms now highlight checked boxes, making it easier for learners and instructors to review form content at a glance.
Sept 11, 2025
This release focused on stability, bug fixes, and incremental content updates. Critical issues like date of birth errors, PEWS scoring, and order set loading were resolved. The EHR gained improvements such as insulin logging with glucose vitals, hematology and microbiology refinements, and expanded maternity/pediatric assessments. We also introduced CIWA, NRT, and Sepsis assessments. Lipids added to lab reports. The demo homepage and documentation were refreshed, and validations across the app were strengthened. Importantly, the new Medication Administration Record (MAR) redesign was rolled back, with the decision to defer it to a future release in order to avoid disruption for students actively using the system.
July 31, 2025
A major release for clinical content and medication management. A new formulary system was introduced, letting users manage medication lists with import, search, and duplicate detection features. The Medication Administration Record (MAR) was redesigned into a single, cleaner table with sticky headers and accessibility fixes. Hematology, microbiology, and urinalysis all received significant updates, while simulation timing tools gained stricter validation and editing improvements. Overall, this version expanded case study realism and streamlined medication workflows for learners.
(NOTE the new MAR was later pulled so it has not yet been released.)
July 24, 2025
This release focused heavily on accessibility: improved color contrast, ARIA labels, and keyboard navigation across dialogs, forms, navigation lists, and tables. In the EHR, users gained support for patient photos in demographics, a refined date of birth structure with better validation, and Alberta’s Goals of Care alongside other rehab/therapy terminology updates. Students and instructors saw smoother switching between views, reduced flickering, and fixes to seed and activity data handling.
June 14th, 2025
This release brings a more intuitive experience for instructors and students alike, with a revamped tab-based interface, real-time student monitoring, and enhanced simulation timing tools. We've also added new clinical forms for Maternity, Newborn, and Pediatrics, introduced NEWS2 scoring, and made navigation and search easier across the platform. Plus, performance improvements and bug fixes round out the update for a smoother, more powerful user experience.
